Understanding Your Return Shipping OptionsUpdated 7 days ago

We use Refundid to make returning items quick and simple. During the returns process, you’ll be asked to choose how you’d like to send your item back. There are three return methods available depending on your location:

  • Receive a provided return shipping label (AU + US only)
  • Organise your own return shipping 
  • Drop off at our Distribution Centre (Brisbane locals only) 

Please see more information on each option to determine which is best for you. 

1. Receive a return label (AU + US only)

Choosing this option means Refundid will generate a prepaid return label for you. How it works:

  • A return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund amount. See more here.
  • You’ll need to package your item, print and attach the label, and lodge it with the listed postal service. 
  • If you qualify, this option also unlocks Instant Refunds and Instant Exchanges. See more here.

Why this option allows Instant services:

  • Instant Refunds and Instant Exchanges rely on a confirmed tracking number. Because the prepaid label provides this immediately, Refundid can offer and process instant options straight away if eligib


Things to keep in mind:

  • Instant services come with specific timeframes, such as posting your return within 7 days of submitting your return request. Failure to do so can result in the refund being reversed. Read more here
  • If you prefer a touch more flexibility, the options below may suit you better.

2. Ship with your own return label

This option lets you organise your own return shipping through any carrier you prefer. For some regions, this will be the only return shipping option available. How it works:

  • You choose the carrier, service level, and price. 
  • You can ship the item back at your own pace, as long as it arrives within our standard returns window. Refer to our Returns Policy here.
  • We recommend using a tracked service as we are not liable for any return parcels lost in transit. 

Instant service eligibility: 

  • Normally, Instant Refunds and Instant Exchanges aren’t available with this option because Refundid does not automatically receive a tracking number.
  • However, if you provide a valid tracking number while lodging your return and the tracking is accepted as legitimate, then if you are otherwise eligible, you will be able to select the instant options.


3. Drop off at our Distribution Centre (AU local customers only)

If you’re local, you’re welcome to drop your return off directly at our Distribution Centre. How it works:

  • No postage required 
  • Simply package your item and bring it to our Distribution Centre during the designated drop-off times - ensuring it arrives within our standard return timeframe. See our hours of operation here
  • Our team will process the return within the standard processing timeframe (usually 3-7 business days)

Instant service eligibility:

  • Because this method does not involve postage or a tracking number, Instant Refunds and Instant Exchanges are not available. If you wish to use these services (if eligible), please choose either the 'receive a return label' or 'ship with your own return label (and provide the tracking at the time of return submission' options. 

Which option should I choose?

  • Choose Receive a Return Label for convenience and automatic access to instant options (if eligible). 
  • Choose Ship With Your Own Return Label if you want flexibility over cost and shipping method - and you can still access instant options if you provide a valid tracking number at the time of return submission. 
  • Choose Drop off at our Distribution Centre if you're local and want a simple, post-free return option, and are happy to wait our standard return processing times,
